These are ferroalloys consisting alloy of iron and titanium in the ratio of 10-20, wherein 45-75 % titanium and sometimes a small amount of carbon. It is used in steel making as a cleansing agent for iron and steel. These are highly reactive with sulphur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen.
